Awesome, awesome, awesome dreamy ambient. Jump on board now, Nepenthe is going to be on all your favorite tastemakers' 2013 top 10 lists come December. Think of all the buzz words you can to describe synths + looping, effected fem vox- ethereal, haunting, ghostly, pretty, beautiful, etc. and apply those to all the tracks, and give them all at least one star of recommendation. Mr. esq. nailed it in his review of her '11 work: "drop dead fucking gorgeous!"

RIYL: Grouper, Sigur Ros, múm, Amiina

1 (3:16) Hymnal, peaceful vibe
*2 (5:51) Static intro, splashes of keys, super incredibly pretty
*3 (3:41) Layers and layers of vox, uncharacteristically intelligible second half
4 (4:37) Icelandic, like where this was recorded
5 (4:21) Strings + choir, Sigur Rosy
6 (4:33) Vocal emphasis, sound gets fuller and fuller
*7 (5:30) Quiet, rainy keys open, grows and grows
*8 (2:58) Sparse piano highlighting heavily looped vox in all the best ways, scattered, noisy, slight percussion
9 (4:23) Vox in the forefront occasionally repeat over blips and other great small noises
10 (2:37) Instrumental; loud, forlorn, icy synths
