White Poppy is the project of British Columbia’s Crystal Dorval, and her new tape is part of Constellation Tatsu’s “Summer Adventure” series. This is definitely appropriate summer music—soft, radiant, warm, lush, naturalistic. It’s all great. Possible FCC on 6.

1. (1:42)—Instrumental. Guitar plucking, woozy effects.
2. (5:40)—Bright, joyful. Echoing acoustic guitars move at a glide. Soft, high-pitched cooing.
3. (3:44)—Slower, slightly more melancholy. Imagine Grouper brought into daylight.
4. (3:38)—Instrumental. Cascading guitars reverbed and echoing into oblivion.
5. (4:48)—Slow, gauzy, trippy, repetitive. “In the sun, in the sun, in the sun, in the sun….”
6. (4:35)—(FCC at 1:27? Can’t tell.) Slow and ultra hazy, like a warped acoustic rendition of a 50’s teenage ballad.
7. (5:50)—Mid-tempo. Pensive, haunting.
