Most of the tracks on this album are piano/vocal pieces, with Diaz’ silky soulful voice playing the front-and-center role. The songs are mostly slow ballad or ballad-like tunes with plenty of space left open for the vocals. There is not much earth-shattering going on in terms of musical innovation, but Diaz’ voice is able to carry the album for me. Track #2 will give you a sense of her aesthetic—haunting and smooth at the same time.

5 (4:28) Up-tempo track with driving piano line in background. Goes to a cut-tempo bridge in the middle of the song,
* 6 (4:53) Soulful voice+guitar ballad. Shows off her wonderful voice.
7 (5:01) A heavily produced track with a drum machine backbeat and synth background rhythms. It’s almost a ballad but not quite.
