Frankie Rose returns w/out The Outs. sound is more towards an 80's modern rock cum 90's shoepop. drifty, ethereal fem vox =twin peaks core. synthes. and drum machines. MR. ESQ. SEZ: MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW MEC- (THAT'S HALF AN 'O'). FCC CLEAN. RIYL: LUSH, SOUSXIE&THE BANSHEES, DUM DUM GIRLS, BEST COAST, LA SERA, ET AL. PLAY: 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10. *1. PURR-FECT II (TIE): rockin' git begin into dreamy voice. builds back to pop propulsion. *2. 8O'S flashback, like something by Strawberry Switchblade. into dreamy 90's shoegaze ala Lush. 3. pleasant shoepop. *4. 80's modern rocky with a slits bent. *5. PURR-FECT: most twin peakish. sole voice begins. lovely&spare. and it's sad: the piano comes in -I like piano! 6. boring. SKIP. 7. 80's girly brit synth pop. what Lush built it's sound on. it's like a girl's version of Ah Ha. *8. buzzing gits, tribal drums kick in. Sousxie&the Banshees. propulsive with dreamy vox. *9. vintage 80's modern rock. (when it gets dark) leads awkward transition to organ, churchy and lurchy. (it's ambient!) bleeds into... *10. this.
