Ambient, entrancing oscillations of analog tones ( and treatment with Ableton), academic yet accessible like the best of Terry Riley or CCRMA’s work on this very campus. Long stretches of frigid drones balanced with erratic, dissonant algorithmic pulses. Not always “pretty” but sustains a sense of the sublime.

1. Side A (19:51) the pretty side, minimal drones give way to the “forest” of pulses, which blend with drones to create an algorithmic journey through strange galaxies.

2. Side B (19:53)—machine gun static builds in layers, reverberates and echoes until a swirling blur of thudding, throbbing rhythms; a brief interlude of noise and static gives way to a fascinating, densely layered electronic bliss-out. Trust me, you may raise an eyebrow at first but it is totally worth it to get through the whole side.
