The Grunt

Two very fun death metal bands team up for this respectable split. Cannabis Corpse got their start by covering Cannibal Corpse songs (and the influence shows) but changing the lyrics to be marijuana themed. Ghoul is just straight up quality, well-known for their Splatterthrash album. Put these two bands together and what do you get? Splatterhash.
This stuff doesn't take itself too seriously and reminds you of what metal used to sound like before all these hipsters and more-brutal-than-thou kids got ahold of it. Play any track for a nice stroll down memory lane, but watch out for FCCs on #4.
1.) CC - Obvious Cannibal Corpse influence, uses a bit more dissonance and approaching the realm of tech death.
2.) CC - Sounds exactly like The Bleeding era of Cannibal Corpse. Exactly. Fun in a nostalgic way…especially if you can make out the lyrics
3.) + Ghoul - Creepy-sounding blackened thrash. Reminds me of Deceased and old Witchery. Some weird synth sound in there.
4.) Ghoul - My favorite track, it really slays…unfortunately there are two very clear FCC "FUCK"s in here.
