Echo Together / Songs USSR (1983)

Cassette only release from this experimental performer. This does not appear to be the same as the “Echo Together” which was released in 2011.
This sounds like a demo - The sound quality of the recording is certainly more of one.
Side One has enough of a pause to play the individual tracks; they are distinctive enough that they shouldn’t be played as one track. Electronic / experimental synth work with effected vocals.
Side Two moves more in the neofolk direction, certainly with the first track – Then more of the same electronica experimental from the first side, for the remaining 3 tracks.

For me: Side 2 – *1 (FCC) & 3
FCC’s on Side 2 – *1st track
1)
Side 1 (14.58)
1st track (00.01-03.10) Steady beat with some strange effects going on underneath with the vocals (if not, the instruments are speaking a language all of their own). Mid paced mayhem.
2nd track (03.11-07.46) Almost funky, with effected voice & hypnotic beat driving it along.
3rd track (07.47-14.58) Oriental sounding plucking start with haunting synths & percussion. Disjointed as it picks up the pace, still works though, as the feedback takes over. Background voice towards the end as it slows down.
2)
Side 2 (14.48)
*1st track (00.01-06.10) Acoustic song, which has a neofolkiness about it. Passionate voice with driving sound. Top Track. A couple of “Fucks” & “Fucked”
2nd track (06.11-10.06) Back to some electronic chaos – All over the place, this. In your face.
3rd track (11.07-12.28) Vocals given the treatment here – underneath, the sound is lighter then previous. Creating a crawling creepy atmosphere.
4th track (12.29-14.48) Harsh start & then slows down & gets into your head with some video game blibs & blobs.
