Special Request- Soul Music Label: Houndstooth Short radio sampler reflecting Paul Woolford’s unique studio space-- full of vintage hardward and an FM transmitter for unique synths and frequencies. Evoking UK pirate radio and some old-school jungle vibes, I really like this album. High energy, low frequencies, and proper sounds. Delicious. FCC Clean Picks: 2, 5 (but try all) ~Mayjahn~ 1. (6:31) Jungle, gun shots, sirens, and hilarious little vocal bit in the beginning. Male vox take away from the song though. Gets filthay. *2. (6:01) Oooo weirdly groovy, very fast, big drums, cosmic journey to Saturn. 3. (5:59) Fast, wonky synths careen alongside big driving bass. Nice ebbs and flows. 4. (5:16) Faster rolling bass with slow sirens and keyboards. *5. (5:57) Jungle riddims with that low UK bass. Echoey fem vox. Delicious grime right here brap brap big ups! | ||
