punky garage revival from the 80's/Animal House -core.
shambolic, drunken(?) dirty garage for a frat, a bar, hipsters being ironic, or people being un-ironically hip. audience is loud and talking all the way through, making the audience for VU's Max's Kansas City seem reserved; making SF audiences seem like....assholes. fuck it: it was the '80's.
(note: White Stripes were so influenced by this band, Jack White decided to release this on his label.)
MR. ESQ. SEZ: MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW MEOW.
FCC CLEAN (AS FAR AS ANYONE CAN TELL: IT'S UNINTELLIGIBLE).
RIYL: WHITE STRIPES, CRAMPS, EARLY L.A. PUNK, MUMMIES, TOO MANY BANDS THAT INSPIRED/WERE INSPIRED BY- TO MENTION, ET AL.
PLAY; ANY/ALL/RANDOMEOW/SPILL MORE BEER ON ME NOW.
1. surfy instrumental. tape volume goes up 15 secs in.
2. the classic done in most ramshackle glory.
3. so shambolic, it's about to fall over. awesomeow.
4. this album kinda reminds me of 'Germacide.' (look it up.)
5. see track#2 for description.
6. PURR-FECT: see track#2 for description. no, wait! =awesomeow cover of Stooges tune. kills.
7. interesting basher, real fast and furious.
8. PURR-FECT II: also interesting. slow and lurching. hell yeah!: audience banter is hilarious. they try to start song -fail- can hear one guy say 'shut up!' and it just gets funnier.
9. see track#2 for description. noisy, like Germs, Screamers.
10. vintage sounding original. rockabilly blues.
11. cover of song by The Stoics. =killer.
12. see track#2 for description. kills!
13. see track#2 for description. original tacked onto end. also kills.
(and the tape runs out.)
