Grave Upheaval

A cacophony played from within a buried casket. I imagine this is what an earthquake sounds like…it's so rumbly. Notes are rarely distinguishable from the dense doomed-out fog. Sometimes they play really fast, but it still sounds slow because everything blends together. Interesting effect. The best bits are when they go for straight-up sludged-out doom. Deep and heavy…this whole album is almost meditative. Their is not much to differentiate the songs from each other, but I suspect you should treat this whole album as one large droning movement. If you enjoy non-harsh noise and drone (like some Merzbow pieces) you may like this as well. Mention that this was released on "Nuclear War Now! Productions".

1.) (5:03) Rumbling slow buried droning guitars. Slow breathy growls.
2.) (5:33) Detuned rumble
3.) (4:03) + Starts fast but then hits a deep doom groove.
4.) (4:43) + Doom interlude. Growls blend into echoing chants.
5.) (6:12) + Abstract guitar rumbling with some floating chants. Ephemeral deep breathy sounds. More ambient noise / death industrial than metal.
6.) (6:02) Keeps the vibe of the album going
7.) (10:13) + Guitars pulsate like an industrial fan. From the murk, a funeral doom riff descends briefly at the 4min (and 6min) mark, only to throw you back into the abyss. Abstract, heavy, meditative, hypnotic. No vocals. Drums are omnipresent but buried in the mix. There is very little for you to hold on to…so just let go.
