self released experiemental/dark ambient with lots of creative dub flourishes. distant and aquatic found sounds without the eerie feelings that often accompany them in dark ambient. recommended if you like Pole and Gas (without a beat).|
1. ultra-low sonar rumblings and thunderclouds, sounds of pickaxes swinging far underground. high, distant electronic wailing and tone takes over at 4:00. these motifs take turns for the rest of the track.
2. warbling, overdubbed strings and record pops play over windy freeway noise. joined by quiet space synths at 1:45. ambient noise cuts out around 7:00
***3. some underwater dub sloshes and scuffles with a wall of strings building over them. familiar strings come in halfway through.
4. high organ tone with more dub-ish scuffles underneath. organ decays around 1:30, replaced with a few lower ones, alternating between left and right speaker.
***5. sounds like wheel of fortune being played on a beach. urgent march in rubber-soled boots begins at 1:45. sinister synth wave appears in the second half. good shit.
6. more wheel-spinning clicks. very Gas-ish low walls of orchestral strings. even lower tones throbbing in the distant background.
