Signed on Gene Simmons own label and currently on tour with Kiss and Def Leppard in Europe, Kobra & The Lotus deliver 10 tracks of solid Heavy Metal. If we didn't already have enough Female fronted-bands Kobra and company are another one to satisfy your craving (or drive you to suicide). With solid Heavy Metal range, Kobra does a solid job in leading so-so songs out of mediocrity with her stage presence and solid performing.
1. (3:25) - High-octane Heavy Metal anthem. Perfect opener for a release like this. (4 out of 5).
2. (4:16) - Delivery catchy chorus lines is a must for the genre and the band nicely achieves it in this song. (3.5 out of 5).
3. (4:28) - Opening like a power ballad, this track later transforms to full-on guitar wizardry. Kobra's different singing styles will grab your attention when needed. (3.5 out of 5).
4. (4:26) - Expertly combined guitar/vocal leads, but the overall song structure is getting a bit repetitive. (3 out of 5).
5. (4:09) - Kobra showing off her range.... nothing other than more of the same is going on here. (2.5 out of 5).
6. (4:32) - High-paced song that that will keep you entertained. (3 out of 5)
7. (5:52) - Legit Heavy Metal and there is no discussion about it. With the bonus of having some trippy and atmospheric elements... awesome! (4 out of 5)
8. (3:31) - Kobra goes mellow/Gothic with catchy riffs and some brilliant solos. (4.5 out of 5)
9. (4:01) - Typical Heavy Metal track that will surely please all fans of the genre.... but nothing special is found here. (3 out of 5).
10.(6:01) - Showing off her versatility, this track is quite different from the rest with acoustic guitars and a different pace hitting Gothic Metal territories. (4.5 out of 5).
