Debut album from Nashville rock band Cardboard Kids. This album hits hard! Soulful rock-and-roll through and through. RIYL: Black Keys, White Stripes, Blitzen Trapper, Kings of Leon and Ryan Adams.
FCC CLEAN!
Recommended tracks: All
1. (2:33) Echo Boomer - This title track hits you hard right out the gate with heavy drums and screams backing the chorus vocals.
2. (3:31) Oh, Child - Favorite!! Ruby Amanfu (Jack White's backing vocalist) makes an appearance on this great southern rock track.
3. (2:22) Dime A Time Lover - Bluesy rock song. Also featuring Ruby.
4. (3:17) Don't Spit In The Sink - Faster paced drum beat, White Stripes feel, careful this chorus will stick in your head and you won't be able to avoid stomping your foot.
5. (2:48) Broke A Promise - Down tempo, very pretty.
6. (3:22) Disease - Brings back the melodic rock-and-roll. This drummer is soooo good.
7. (4:04) Lush - A little more mellow and synthetic feeling.
8. (2:54) What's The Catch - Another short White Stripes-esq head nodder.
9. (2:53) Louisiana - More punk guitar feel. Keeping the catchy melodies coming.
10. (3:03) Honey - RIYL Black Keys. Heavy hitting southern rock.
11. (3:25) Better - Classic feeling guitar riff, smooth lyrics.
12. (4:12) Mercy - Acoustic guitar and a bit of a more pop-country feel on this closing track. Very different but very pretty none-the-less.
