Hudson Mohawke- Chimes
A really good, chill instrumental/electronic album. The type you vibe out to in the dark while relaxing in your room, rather than like the EDM at frats. Only four tracks, the last of which is a remix to the first one, but I really liked it and would recommend it. No FCC Violations.
1. Chimes (3:32) – Starts off as a nice, smooth, chill instrumental track, gets a bit bassier and meatier towards the middle and has some male chants. Ends back on a gentler note than it was in the middle.
2. Brainwave (2:17) – Ambient vocals in the background with an eclectic keyboard melody played over it. Sounds more experimental than the first track, but definitely still has the same chill vibe.
3. King Kong Beaver(2:41) – Starts off with a slightly oriental sounding 8 bit melody before exploding into a more layered 8 bit soundscape. Probably the loudest track on the album. More drums and percussion being used.
4. Chimes (Gammer Re-Edit) (3:03) – A louder version of the first track, with more chanting. The main difference is that there is overall just more going on at a given time, but other than that very similar.
