World influenced Jazz/funk. Debut recording and they sound GREAT 1: 7:00 mid to faster, soaring brass, pounding piano = Jazz ***2: 7:29 mid to faster, Brazilian rhythm, violin & percussion with nice guitar jam, minimal CUICA = Jazz ***3: 7:44 many percussion instruments noodling intro, marimba & steel pan settle down to a nice rhythm, flute joins in, mostly mid tempo ****4: 4:08 fast fiddle, pounding drum, I hear a Brazilian Marcatu rhythm, the pifano ( an indigenous Brazilian flute). the track is “Cajun Blue” with the violin I would call it "Cajun Fire”. 5: 5:23 mid, three saxophones & drum. A McCoy Tyner tune = Jazz ****6: 9:13 multi instrument noodling intro, pounding piano, VERY NICE BASS, drum kicks in with guitar, fast conga = fast Jazz | ||
