Canadian composer, musician, orchestrator, arranger and sound designer Franćois Coutre has won many awards and produced 10 albums, which receive a good deal of airplay. Here, he has composed a set of harmonically and melodically pleasing soundscapes that capture the quiet freshness and dreamy atmosphere that occurs in a clear afternoon after a small rainstorm passes away. The music is tonal, and performed with a grand piano sound, with a prolonged sound decay time reminiscent of a cathedral setting. All the tempi are slow, with no fast passagework, inviting calm reflection, relaxation, and day-dreaming.
