Delta Reign “Nothing But Sky” Label: Mountain Fever/Travianna Joseph Reviewed 4/26/15 Great & diverse Americana music from Alabama-based Delta Reign. Especially fine fiddle from George Mason, but Benita Murphy’s vocals also shine. 1 – (3:35) Calico Sundown* Lovely mid-tempo song of parting, fine. 2 – (3:25) Long Haul* Nice mid-tempo traditional bluegrass. 3 – (4:03) Country Sunday* Very pretty mid-tempo song, lovely imagery. 4 – (2:27) Nothing But Sky* Up-tempo bluegrass, really terrific! 5 – (3:27) My Love Will Remain* Great showcase for Benita’s vocals, mid, fine. 6 – (3:14) Back Around The Mountain* Mid-up tempo, excellent playing. 7 – (2:58) I Can’t Get You Off My Mind* Punchy, up-tempo take on Hank Williams song. 8 – (2:34) Runnin’ On Faith* Mid-tempo, more contemporary bluegrass sound. 9 – (2:54) Heartbreak Hotel* Swinging bluegrass version of Presley hit, wow! 10 – (2:36) If You Ain’t Lovin’ (You Ain’t Livin’)* Great bouncy swing. 11 – (3:16) I’m Forgiving You Decent mid-tempo tune, OK. 12 – (2:50) Turn The Cards Slowly* Fine up-tempo swinging tune, wow! | ||
