Album Review

Debut album from Fraser A. Gorman, out of Melbourne, Australia. I literally couldn't find anything else out about him…so I will just describe the music. Folky, Americana. Super cool. Could be a mix of Bob Dylan and Ben Kweller (from the countrier albums). Simple songs, great stories, and several with great hooks that will for sure stick in your head. Enjoy!

Recommended tracks: 2, 4, 6, 10

1. (2:14) Big Old World - Short and sweet, vocals with a bit of an echo and guitar strumming.
2. (3:30) My Old Man - Fuller sound, fiddle, drums, great vocals, great melody. PLAY ME!
3. (3:45) Book of Love - Southern rock feel but still very folky, feels a little more playful.
4. (3:35) Shiny Gun - Love this one, could be a Ben Kweller song, but it is a little more country, great sound, great hook.
5. (3:44) Broken Hands - Not necessarily my favorite lyrically, cool twangy instrumentation though.
6. (3:05) Mystic Mile - Starts mellow, but builds into another great track, more psychedelic feel.
7. (2:56) Never Gonna Hold You (Like I Do) - Beachy strumming.
8. (3:45) We’re All Alright - Also not my favorite, but still not bad.
9. (5:19) Dark Eyes - More of the same, mid-tempo, easy listening.
10. (4:48) Blossom & Snow - Super super pretty. Harmonica, guitar plucking, showcase of that great voice.
