American Pilgrimage is a debut album of Sanjay Chitale & Sanjay Chowtha of India.
Chowtha is a music director in Bollywood.Chitale is a vocalist.
This album is their homage to American jazz musicians that influenced them.
It features John Scofield & Eddie Daniels
among others.

Most tracks in this album will work well in the morning or late evening hours, when you
are looking for some calm & quiet in your day.

1. An ode to Holi, the festival of colors that heralds spring. A mix of Indian traditional vocals combined
with clarinet/drums. Has an interesting vibe.
2.Mellow melody. Romantic.
3.A song in Indian classical style with a touch of jazz – like the West Coast kind. Slow.
4.A slow & meditative track.
5.Sweet & romantic ballad.Has a dreamy quality about it.
6.A love song with a bit of that West Coast
jazz vibe.
7.Fusion of an Indian folks song with jazz element. A jazz version of a well-known Rajasthani folk song.
8.Fusion of a traditional Indian invocation to Lord Vishnu with jazz elements.
This is one of the best tracks in this album that marries Indian & jazz elements in an innovative way.
9. This track gives you a sense of what it was like for these musicians to collaborate.
A lit peek into the process.Lots of talking.
