Cosmic Winds

"50 minutes of blissed-out ambient drones and deep, dark pits of cosmic terror!" admits the band. Constellation Tatsu cassette release. Beautiful stuff, mostly old school analog synth, Moog, sounding a la Tomita, Tangerine Dream, but also an injection of the dream wash of Kevin Sheilds' work post MBV, namely the Lost In Translation era. This is all magical lovely stuff from an Austin Texas outfit.

1) (3:17) beautiful wash of synth, dreamy and reminiscent of Kevin Shields work with the Lost In Translation soundtrack
2)* (10:24) epic moog style work that brings to mind the best of Tomita, Tangerine Dream, swirling and synthy, totally cool
3)* (5:11) swirls of white noise synth and beautiful if subtle chiming guitar start this, then a lovely beat appears and it all melds into one
4) (5:46) dark pulsings, creepier
5) (5:03) synth heavy, Tomita returns, but dreamy
6) (3:00) guitar returns as does the soundtracky dreamy feel
7)* (3:43) upbeat with beat, good urgent tone unlike others
8) (7:23) very dreamy airy synths
9) (7:30) best for last? great looping searing yet lovely synth waves, builds, droney yet noisey yet dreamy....
