Newest release from Santigold. If you know her you know her attitude, which I absolutely love. This is not a departure from her old stuff, so play if you love Santigold…or MIA. Super fun record.
FCCs: Track 2 SHIT track 5 SHIT and God Damn
Favorites: 1, 3, **4**, 9, 12
1. (3:57) Can't Get Enough of Myself (feat. B.C) – This is another summer anthem, roll down your windows, blast this, and try to absorb some of Santigold’s self confidence.
2. FCC SHIT (3:36) Big Boss Big Time Business – Not a great song, you cant play it anyway.
3. (3:46) Banshee – Love this one, trap beat, island feel, super good, fast paced and fun.
4. (3:15) Chasing Shadows – This one is probably my favorite on the record. Mid-tempo, fast lyrics, heavy beat, simple and awesome.
5. (3:56) Walking in a Circle - This one is totally weird but kind of great, dark feeling, super electronic, pretty cool track.
6. FCC God Damn SHIT (3:53) Who Be Lovin Me (feat. ILOVEMAKONNEN) – This one is great and hilarious as you would expect with ILOVEMAKONNEN guesting, you cant play it though.
7. (4:22) Rendezvous Girl – I absolutely hate this one. Cant explain why, I just think it is awful.
8. (3:04) Before the Fire – Mid tempo, cool instrumentation.
9. (2:56) All I Got – Another great track, easy listening, super catchy, another one to add to the summer playlist.
10. (4:31) Outside the War – Not my favorite, but another solid track, slowed down, echoey vocals, still solid.
11. (4:24) Run the Races – This one is pretty, cool build at the chorus, another downtempo track.
12. (3:49) Who I Thought You Were – More rock’n’roll, 80s ish feel, really good song actually, anther favorite.
