(CLEAN) 02. Adad - Holdin' On f. Black Thought, Yaw, & Khari Lemuel - (self release): [104 BPM] Chicago based emcee Adad teams up with The Roots frontman Black Thought and super soulful Chicago singer Khari Lemuel on an energetic uptempo track. Typically I do not gravitate towards hip hop tracks with singing outside of an occasional hook but this one works. Black Thought kicks it off with some crazy energy and then you get to experience soulful gospel like stylings from Khari Lemuel that sound like they were straight plucked out of the 70’s. Adad rounds out the track and if you are a fan of The Roots this should be right up your alley. – M-SMOOTH
