experimental hip-hop/noise rap

Fun summer time jams from your new favorite noise-rap outfit. Dirty, static-y, smart, with some serious issues getting along with people. Something more casual and less weighty than the afro-futurist rap-space-opera that they just put out as a follow up (to be filed soon).

FCC clean! (well, maybe not #5)

RIYL: Death Grips, Run The Jewels, Dälek, El-P, Cannibal Ox, Rabit, The Bug, brainy/weird sex and violence

1. rapid fire a capella intro into static 0:51
2. bouncy videogame-y synths, all the percussion is gun sounds (but a great variety and well programmed so it works). spare hashtag rap, fun light delivery, but each verse is from the perspective of someone doing some shooting (each for very different reasons, or maybe not so different). 3:27
3. rough bass drones dissolve into and out of feedback, factory floor percussion. first rapper reminds me of king t. overindulgent fun times, too much of a good thing. bouncy stark party music. 3:52
4. beat's a crazy grime/ghettotech/industrial hybrid. heavy, stuttery, bouncy, doubling and halving tempo. nasty sonics, suggestive lyrics, livewire static and drum blasts. stays on the air playable side of things, IMO... 3:29
5. ...but i'm not so sure about this one. suggestive samples, clattering drums with deep kicks, bleepy, bouncy, slower and slinkier than the rest. no unacceptable words, and most the explanation is at least a little oblique, but the descriptions can easily conjure some images that might be considered over the line? anyway, good track, but screen it for yourself first. 3:29
6. experimental quiet storm? low punchy intermittent drums, static squalls. decreasingly languid narration of unrequited love. static gets cleared intermittently for cleaner bassline and female sung vox on hook, then all of it all at once at the end. 4:17

recommended: 4, 2, 6, any
