LOCAL BLUES ROCK BAND (Great live!). Castro has a great blues voice and uses it well. Here’s solid songwriting performed with a unique and complex band chemistry. They’re upbeat jams with enough rock to impress a Stones fan, but the bluesy roots to do good for a Muddy Waters buff. RIYL Phil & Dave Alvin, Little Feat. No FCC issues.

**** (3:33) Driving rocker.
*** (3:46) Playful, dancy blues stroll.
**** (5:49) Mean, gritty jam with great lyrics.
***** (5:31) Medium-pace call-to-mercy rocker about a cheating lover.
*** (5:02) Upbeat. “Your love is a wrecking ball.” Well-done, cliche.
**** (5:12) More mellow blues walk. Some fun guitar solos.
** (3:59) Rocker. Faster. Won’t surrender to life’s worsening condition.
*** (6:01) Slower blues crawl. Light drums, heavy bass. “Workin’ til the day I die.”
*** (4:59) Medium pace. No blues-rock record is complete w/o the train song.
*** (4:28) Faster pace. Rocker.
** (4:43) Standard, cliche tribute to a “Good Lovin’ Woman.” Has a fake end!
*** (4:25) Upbeat, faster. Odd, fun lyrics.
*** (3:56) Gets jammy. “My hope is almost gone.”
