A refreshing album of seasonal music that sounds fun and fresh. With only 5 of 12 songs mentioning Santa or Christmas in the title, it’s really more of a “seasonal” album in the sense of a cold and wintry season. Tremendous variation in the songs. Something for everyone. All good, but my faves were: 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10

1. med – upbeat jazzy tune, dixieland
2. med - blues
3. slow – jazzy, beautiful vocals, wintry song
4. med – country sounding with the ghost of Buddy Holly
5. med – Gordon Lightfoot’s classic
6. med – bluegrass sounding
7. med – from the King of Texas honky tonk, Dale Watson
8. slow – emotional version of Elvis’ classic
9. slow – about being snowed in and loving it
10. med – About Christmas in jail from blues legend Charlie Parr
11. slow – West Indian carol with nice finger picking by Jorma Kaukonen
12. slow – banjo driven spiritual
