Country legend Loretta Lynn’s latest album is a holiday record titled White Christmas Blue. Christmas songs (classics and some new ones) performed in the tradition of early 1960s Nashville sound – think Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Willie Nelson, and Brenda Lee, among others. I particularly enjoy Loretta’s and acoustic guitarist and backup singer Shawn Camp’s old school vocals and the timeless country arrangements that aren’t overproduced or too campy.
