Echoes Of Nature IV
Genre: General/Experimental
Review: Fabulous! Local artist. If Stravinsky had access to computers & electronics, it could have sounded like this. The sounds of nature are referenced electronically for the most part, but there may be some actual recordings mixed in. Grammy-winning violinist Mads Tolling from Turtle Island String Quartet provides accompaniment. Very psychedelic. Don't be put off by the same title on many tunes (each one is different). Just put on your headphones, sit back, and zone out! They performed at Day of Noise.
FCCs: none
If You Like: Stravinsky, Penderecki, early Pink Floyd, Ancient Future
Favorite Tracks: (1) Forest Birds (2) Elephants and Monkeys (4) Nightingales (6) Forest Birds (Reprise)(7) Elephants and Monkeys (Reprise) (9) Nightingales (Reprise)
Track Review: 1/ synth starts> midtempo> quick fade 2/ percussion starts> uptempo > slows to midtempo> crescendo end 3/ bells/synth start> midtempo> melody shift> crescendo end 4/ bird chirps start> midtempo> quick fade 5/ violin starts> uptempo> quick fade 6/ violin starts> midtempo> quick fade 7/ percussion starts> uptempo> shifts to slow tempo> builds to midtempo crescendo & fades 8/ synth starts> midtempo> crescendo & fade 9/ bird chirps start> midtempo> crescendo end & fade on chirps 10/ violin starts> fast tempo> slows to to midtempo & builds to fast tempo> quick fade & piano notes
