Girl-group duo from LA/Philly, creators of minimalist atmospheres, wonderfully expressive voices. Their sounds can go anywhere from haunted/bratty/ethereal/pained/dreamy. Plenty of textures here, and a fair amount of short songs. FCC on 12. RIYL: The She's, Grass Widow. 1 (2:50) ***** Breathy, bedroomy, soft and strummy, really sweet, then increasingly loud and energetic, noisy. 2 (2:27) ****** Slackery guitar into breathy vox, calm and sleepy. Assertive and driving slacker energy. 3 (1:31) ****** Bouncy chirpy happy guitar, poodle-skirt sweetness in vox... until halfway, then a suddenly wall of sludge and noise.
