BIG BAND JAZZ
Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts sits in with the Danish Radio Big Band for a live performance. (So be ready for applause at endings.) Tracks include an original by Watts, three Stones songs (tracks 3, 5, 6), and two other covers.
All instrumental. No FCC issues.

1 Very slow. Leads by elec guitar, muted trombone, elec piano. Flows into #2. (9:17)
2 * Mid-fast to fast. Led by tenor sax. Big brassy middle section. All ff. (5:53)
3 Mid-tempo. Bouncy, Bossa Nova redo of “Satisfaction.” Melody on flugelhorn. (6:10)
4 * Mid-tempo. Pleasant Sammy Cahn tune. Leads by trombone, flugelhorn, flute. (8:00)
5 *** Mid-fast. Rousing, high-energy cover of “You Can’t Always Get...” with leads by flugelhorn, organ, trombone. Highlight is a superb soprano sax solo midway. (7:12)
6 Slow. Disappointing version of “Paint It Black.” Good blues guitar solo though. (7:42)
7 * Mid-fast. Toe-tapping, swing-era hit by Woody Herman’s big band. Full band plus organ with solos by tenor sax, trombone, alto sax. (7:36)
