Review: approaching 80, Lloyd shows no signs of slowing down. This live date is a celebration of what's possible, reaching all the way back a recording he made to the '60s and then revisiting other touchstones along his path, all the while reinventing and improvising on each tune. His crack quartet is spot on, bending and shadowing on long explorations.
