JAZZ: SMALL ENSEMBLE
Here’s the debut album as band leader from trumpeter Hermon Mehari, who trained in Kansas City but now works in Paris. Accompaniment is alto sax, keys, vibes, bass, drums.
No FCC issues.
1 * Mid-tempo to fast. Weather Report-like mix of soulful horn and electric piano. (6:22)
2 ** Mid-tempo. Gentle & soothing. Vox sample intro. Pretty melodies on trumpet; elegant piano & bass. Dedicated to victims of the 11/13/2015 terror attacks in Paris. (7:43)
3 Mid-tempo. Electronics, voice samples, short drum solo. Rolls into track #4. (0:51)
