American singer/songwriter/musican known as a pioneer in the desert underground music scene. Punk, ska, biker rock and now his first foray into American folk/gospel/soul. It’s his take on some obscure folk tunes. Backed by a good band, he’s got a scratchy, husky voice that does well by the tracks. More Americana/folk/acoustic rock than blues, but worth playing, if more than a little depressing.

*1. Down low gritty w/serious gospel/blues lyrics.
2. Downtempo lament, with tragic love gone wrong vibe.
*3. Nicely relaxed cowboy roadhouse wail.
4. Mostly downtempo wailing.
5. Downtempo poem, meandering gospel-esque.
*6. Downtempo modern take on old-timey blues.
*7. Relaxed gospel folk w/a striped-down sound.
*8. Deep & dirty shout on Blind Willie classic.
9. Slow & grouchy. Downtempo lament.
*10. Upbeat hillbilly gospel. Clap yo hands & testify!
11. Slow gospel classic.
