Recorded in a 10 day immersion experiment, this album represents a diversion from the usual for this acoustic string band from the mountains of Virginia. The former string based seminarians incorporated percussion and keyboards for the first time, creating a new, unique sound. I especially like musical fusion, and tracks # 2, 3, 5, 7 and 10 are all great examples of that.

1. 4:12 med – Americana sound
2. 3:00 med – interesting mix of bluegrass instrumentation to support expressive lyrics
3. 4:48 med – title track-typifies hybrid style of album, bluegrass, folk, Americana; variations
4. 3:20 slow – country rock, nice vocal harmonies
5. 4:34 med – mandolin highlights country tune, “blues mandolin”
6. 5:08 slow – peaceful, gentle song
7. 3:21 slow/med – unique singer/songwriter style with finger picking
8. 3:38 slow/med - similar to #7
9. 3:49 med – sounds like protest music
10. 4:44 slow – string intro, then nice vocal harmonies with spiritual vibe
