Frankie Rose, Cage Tropical

Excellent fourth album from Brooklyn based musician Frankie Rose, She is of the dreamy voiced female vocalist variety. Tracks are full of synthesizers, mild reverb and overlays. Both an evolution and a return to her roots, this album has lots of different sounds. I liked them all. Woo Hoo!

.* Slow-gently unfolding layered synth and vocal tune
.* Med - synth based dreamy 80’s pop
.* Med - think 80’s girl band with reverb in the vocals
*Med - upbeat tune with nice vocal overlays
** slow - very synth! Opens and evolves - first music, then spoken word, then singing
* Med - upbeat tune with a lot of different sounds
.* Slow - unique sound - psychedelic pop?
* slow/med - gentle beat with layered falling lyrics
.* Slow - trippy psych instrumental
* med - quite possibly the most interesting track of the album. Subtle hints of the 90’s
