Instrumental prog electronica. Composed & recorded during a week off admidst touring. Released along with a film of the music performed live in the desert by the five-piece Floating Points band. Less dance-inspired than previous Floating Points releases. FCC Clean Recommended: 2, 4 1. Mojave Desert (2:23) - ambient, minimal, build up 2. Silurian Blue *** (7:01) - Pink Floyd, soft keys filled in with bass & drums ~2:00, complex fills, cool time signatures 3. Kites * (3:16) - sweeping arpeggios with varying speeds, filters & effects 4. Kelso Dunes ** (12:48) - begins with same arpeggios as Kites, speeds up, band adds driving beat ~3:00, building intensity until ~7:15, another build up then dies out 5. Lucerne Valley (3:39) - loose structure, washes of synth with touch of bass | ||
