The Incessant
Meat Wave

RIYL: The Offspring, Future Punx
FCC Violations: 9 (At The Lake), otherwise clean!
Recommended: 1, 3, 4, 6, 9

A post-punk band from Chicago, Meat Wave has a very distinct sound due to its repeated use of unique guitar riffs, dark lyrics, and clashing cymbals.

1. *To Be Swayed (1:50) – Driving, head-banger
2. Tomosaki (1:53) – Screamy vocals, lots of cymbals clashing
3. *Run You Out (2:06) – Repetitive, but fun. Most popular song from the album according to Spotify
4. *Leopard Print Jet Ski (3:07) – Chanting vocals, repeated guitar riffs
5. Bad Man (3:47) – Drum-heavy, can feel musical tension building throughout the song as more instruments are layered loudly
6. *No Light (4:37) – Still has harsh vocals, but instrumentally softer than the previous tracks, dreamy guitar riff
7. Glass Teeth (4:00) – Slow start, ~40 second intro (perfect for reading a quick psa!)
8. The Incessant (4:43) – Fun drum beat, alternates from softer melodic sections to loud screamy parts
9. *At The Lake (1:15) – FCC Violations: dick x2.
10. Mask (0:50) – Loud! Quick
11. Birdland (4:25) – Ominous, slow, droning
12. Killing the Incessant (3:34) – A very diverse song. Loud noise and not very musical until 1:30, very soft outro starts at 3:07
