Review: why this woman isn't hugely famous already stuns me. She has an amazing vocal range, her killer band can play anything, and her songs go right to the heart of human experience. I love the way members of her group slip in tasty solos periodically. This CD combines the punch & vibe of 60s Stax soul & classic country stylings into a new musical landscape she makes all her own.
