Planet Earth’s longest running modern surf band, formed in 1979 in DC (!) but now based in LA .. nice kind of surf crossed with instrumental psych, high energy punk and retro soundtrack music

4. (2:51) Red Mesa—Jammy guitars and driving bass, really cool cascading drums
5. (3:50) * Liftoff—Sounds like Thee Oh Sees, fast energetic

7. (2:42) * Tapping the Source—Sweet pleasant gits, later gets more dissonant
8. (3:50) Wavelength—Fast surf punk
9. (3:25) ** Southern Swell—Solo guitar, last rites at sundown
10. (8:31) *** Datura Moon—Spacious, exploratory instrumental surf. One of my favorite tracks of the year!
