Slovenly Records’ 200th release: Only the Japanese can tear American garage punk to shreds. Guitar Wolf, The Routes, just a searing edge to it all, balls out, shredding distortion and unrepentant driving beats. Crazed. The Japanese were infamous for the “take no prisoners” philosophy. This rip roaring stuff leaves a trail of dismembered hipsters in its path. Band name translates to “Crazy Slovenlies” ironically enough. From Kobe. See also early Bad Brains.
