Your new favorite band: Local female indie dream pop: guitars bass drums vocals, harmonies, pure voices. Use of noise, samples, efx, makes this really special, almost experimental’y at times. These young women have been playing together since being best friends in elementary school in San Francisco, 2007 (seems like yesterday they submitted their first release to us). Sweet stuff but not sugary or gratuitous. For fans of The Like, Sea Pony, Lala Lala, that special class. Well recorded and produced, about as perfect as can be, “mentored” by tUne-Yards’ Merrill Garbus.|
Its been fun to casually observe their career: I recall them being featured in a Converse ad spread all over the walls of the 16th St BART station several years back as tweens. I got them to play on Weds Night Live back when I had to arrange it through one of their dads.
All songs are really great, play any.
