Review: Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band played music like Salvador Dali painted pictures: surreal. Like free jazz applied to rock. Lucas played with the band in a later edition in the '80s. Here, Hendryx & Lucas make the music more accessible in a variety of styles, occasionally slipping into Beefheart's unique approach. My show is named after a Beefheart song.
