Your Feedback is the second EP by Minneapolis, Minnesota’s psych rock duo The Cult of Lip. Energetic recordings with tints of shoegaze, dream pop, and art pop. I particularly like the odd rhythms and pedal effects. RIYL: Static Daydream, Mint Field, My Bloody Valentine, Los Kowalski and Fawns Of Love. FCC CLEAN! Recommended Tracks: 1, 2, 3, 4 1. (2:57) *** Skin – Upbeat tempo noise rocker. Killer vocals and guitars. Early My Bloody Valentine meets Dustdevils. 2. (4:03) ** Fray – Medium-up tempo gloomy dream popper. Guitars soaked in effects and distortion. Vocals buried in the mix. Sexy blast. 3. (2:34) *** Burnt Hair – Fast tempo recording. Incomprehensible vocals, interesting guitars effects and a simple melody are the highlights. Memorable. 4. (3:36) ** Outside – Medium-up tempo shoegazer. Stylish layers of distortion and noise.
