Shadow Boxing by Skin & Bones

This LA based Americana duo hits it out of the ballpark with their first full length release, Shadowboxing. Taylor Borsuck's hauntingly powerful voice juxtaposed against Peter Blackwelder's soaring violin form the foundation for their bluesy, uptempo sound. Throw in intriguing time & key changes, Borsuck's captivating lyrics along with sublime organ, steel guitar & viola accents and you have a truly exquisite sound.

*01) Etherial, uptempo about love song with playful steel guitar & bass
02) Interesting, eerie rocker about being wrapped up in your love
*03) Slow lament about not belonging anymore
04) Mid-tempo with beautiful (yet understated) orchestration
*05) Haunting lament about a couple that have drifted apart
*06) Acoustic with John Fahey like guitar & fiddle
*07) Mid-tempo with great chorus & organ accents
*08) Beautiful lament about wanting to escape one's home town
09) Mid-tempo with steel guitar & fiddle
*10) Fun, uptempo rocker about life of a song writer ('shit' at 0:59 &2:00)
*11) Acoustic number about growing up. Taylor's plaintive lyrics nicely complemented with guitar & fiddle
