Warm, radiant, nature-focused ambient drone from Angela Klimek of Cleveland. Immediately entrancing, sweet and serene, almost fantastical. These pieces are supposed to paint “a forest scene during the magical hour after sunrise in which the earth is bathed in gold.” Released by Oakland tape label Constellation Tatsu. RIYL Benoît Pioulard especially, but also Stars of the Lid, Celer, Kyle Bobby Dunn. Favorites: 1, 3, 4. No words, no FCCs. 1. *(6:46)—Optimistic, major key drone. Bird song, wind, a choir in the air. 2. (6:20)—D major, bright and breezy. More wafting choral sunds. 3. *(5:43)—Soft water sounds, insects and birds. Low-key, flowing. 4. *(6:28)—Airy. Walking through brush and grasses. High, slowly descending streaks of synth. Nice late-afternoon music, too. 5. (11:13)—Heavy on the choral synths. A high-pitched wind instrument and occasional muffled drum beats give this more of a new age feel. | ||
