Two solo guitarists, one based in Missouri and the other in Oklahoma, performing sunlit and placid improvisations on acoustic guitars together. The ambient-drone leanings, lo-fi recording, and subtle tape hiss make it even more beautiful. RIYL old folk 78s, John Fahey, Elizabeth Cotten, William Tyler, etc. etc. What else can I say, other than it’s welcoming and just lovely? Favorites: 1, 2. No FCCs.
1. *(7:12)—Medium-fast guitar interplay. Picks up in intensity, feels like a wash of harmonies.
2. *(3:59)—Mid-tempo, has a bobbing groove. Super pretty top melody.
3. (3:54)—Rolling slide guitar. Fahey and Kottke fans will fall all over this.
4. (8:56)—Feels like a slower continuation of track 1.
