Viagra Boys are a post-punk sextet from Stockholm, although you could easily assume that they’re Americans in listening to them with no prior knowledge. This is not only due to their devotion to writing post-punk songs in the ilk of The Men or Parquet Courts, or because singer Sebastian Murphy affects a Southern American drawl throughout, but because of the blues that is a distinctive vein running throughout new album Street Worms.

.Down in the Basement (3:36) - Instant snarl, the rhythm section pulsing with restraint and grit to match Sleaford Mods.
.Slow Learner (3:11) - A mix of electro sounds that also has a 70’s vibe but with an eighties feel.
.Sports (3:57) - Tribal, mid-tempo drumbeat, surrealist Iggy Pop vocals.
.Best in Show (1:48) - Whirlwind of unnerving synth squeaks.
.Just Like You (5:31) - The bitter, vitriolic, particularly biting.
.Shrimp Shack (6:11) - Brilliant rock cacophony.
.Frogstrap (3:15) - Frenzied jolt to your ear, manic descending noise.
.Worms (3:27) - One of the band’s most gruesome songs.
.Amphetanarchy (5:46) - Chaotic rush that squeals, strangled saxophones and electronics on top of pummeling drums.
