Sixth album from one of the former Indigo Girl’s side projects. It reflects some of her political beliefs with a rockin’ Americana base. Her vocals are tremendous on some of the songs (5, 8, 10). I most enjoyed 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 13, 14.
*slow/med - mellow
*med - rocking americana tune about racism
*med - interesting
Slow - nice strings
Slow - heartfelt emotional lament
Med - high energy rockabilly vibe
Med - traveling meandering sound, jam band
slow/med - almost a mountain spiritual vibe
slow/med - has a twinge of the honkey tonk
*slow - Title track, gentle ballad highlights Amy’s vocals
**med/fast - BG style spiritual (about immigration and prejudice)
slow/med - gentle tune
*slow - sad song about poverty and hardship in the Ozarks
*slow/med - pleasant tune with very serious lyrics about racism
