Review: Although he has been performing for decades, and won several awards, this is pianist Carroll’s debut disc, consisting of both originals & his arrangements of standards. Carroll wields a quiet, calming power both as a player and as a bandleader. His compositions feel free-flowing and at times whimsical as he seems to be dancing on the keys.
