Very chill classic experimental music. For fans of Robert Rich, Sarah Davachi, Eliane Radigue. This smacks greatly of early “space” or “ambient” music, and when I listened I immediately thought “this sounds exactly like the type of early computer created pieces being made in the Electronic Music 441 lab I took at the Univ. of Ariz in 1982.” (mind you it was on a system that only the grad students could touch, a system that cost 40,000 in ‘82 dollars and was impossibly complex to program, operate). Upon researching I found this: (from the Important Records label) “Recorded in 2017, employing the processes of non-linear waveshaping, frequency modulation and feedback, Configurations consists of eight programs captured live to multitrack using a rare, fully functional Buchla 700 digital-hybrid instrument designed in the late 1980s.” Sounds like the Buchla was a user friendly instrument that advanced from ’82 via Moore’s Law but based on similar oscillators. Good dreamy stuff that today sounds like what you’d only hear at the Planetarium back then.

1) (7:01) very quiet fade in then very dreamy chill meditative, sine waves submerged 2) (5:13) looped sawtooth wave appears and builds. 3) (6:16) more building dreamscapes 4)* (4:24) tad more pensive and layered 5) (7:32) more of a synth layered drone 6) (6:10) excruciatingly slow quiet fade in so be careful as its only really audible about 40 seconds in, very very dreamy
