In All Right’ Capps presents a mesmerizing mix of red dirt Tex-Mex, Bob Wills twang, and some synth-pop into a rock solid third release and the second in his space-country trilogy. In the disk PR he paraphrases Sam Phillips saying ‘if you aren’t doing something different, you aren’t doing anything’ and whether its his mash-up of rich vocals against synth’s and pedal steel, or his cowboy poet commentary on the meaning of life, he certainly produces a uniquely different, yet accessible sound which he labels ‘cosmic country’. All tracks are eminently playable.
RIYL: Luba Dvorak, The Birds, Tired Pony, Lord Huron (no joke)
